1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website WWW.FABERBUILDINGLTD.CO.UK and the supply of any building, flooring, landscaping, grounds maintenance, OR CONSTRUCTION services (“Services”) by Faber Building Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Site or requesting/accepting a quotation or booking work with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or engage our services.

2. Quotations and contracts

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  • A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing (email is sufficient) and, where required, receive any deposit.

  • For domestic work agreed at the customer’s home, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may give you a 14‑day cooling‑off period; we will confirm this in writing where it applies.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in GBP and, unless stated, exclude VAT.

  • We may require a deposit (typically 10-25% before starting work, with the balance due on completion or as set out in the quotation/invoice.

  • Invoices are payable within 7 days. Late payments may incur statutory interest and reasonable debt-recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (for business customers).builder

  • Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

4. Scope of work and variations

  • We will carry out the work described in the written quotation/contract.

  • Any changes to the agreed scope must be confirmed in writing (email is fine) with an updated price and timescale before we proceed. This avoids disputes over “extra” work.

  • If you supply materials, they are at your risk; we are not responsible for their suitability or performance unless we have expressly advised otherwise in writing.

5. Timelines and delays

  • Start and completion dates are estimates only and depend on factors including weather, site access, third‑party utilities, and material availability.

  • We are not liable for delays or additional costs caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including extreme weather, strikes, or supplier failures.

6. Workmanship and guarantees

  • We will perform the Services with reasonable care and skill, in line with applicable UK building regulations and industry standards.

  • Where offered, our workmanship guarantee is typically 12 months from completion and covers defects in our work, not normal wear and tear, movement in existing structures, misuse, or issues caused by client‑supplied materials.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to products we supply (e.g. flooring, adhesives) and are passed to you where applicable.

7. Site access and client responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe, clear access to the work area and necessary utilities (power, water) where required.

  • Inform us of any known hazards (e.g. asbestos, structural issues, hidden services).

  • Make decisions and approvals in a timely manner to avoid delays.

  • For larger works, allow reasonable space for material storage and waste skips.

8. Cancellation and termination

  • You may cancel before work starts by notifying us in writing. We may charge for any non‑recoverable costs already incurred (e.g. ordered materials, specialist bookings).

  • We may suspend or terminate work for non‑payment, unsafe site conditions, or repeated failure to provide access/instructions, after reasonable notice.

9. Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Subject to the above, our total liability to you (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is limited to the contract value of the specific job giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.

10. Website use

  • The Site is provided for general information and marketing purposes. Content (including images, prices, and service descriptions) is for illustration and may not reflect exact finishes, colours, or current pricing.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, unless you are a consumer resident elsewhere, in which case local consumer protections may apply.

13. Changes to these terms
